Our architect team is providing expert assistance to our 30+ delivery teams. We help with sparring, guidance, tools and common libraries to enable teams to deliver high-quality world-class products within the tender and procurement domain.
Who are you?
You are passionate about building great software, have a growth mindset, and last but not least excellent presentation and communication skills. More low-level you have read through your fair share of code over the years and you can quickly understand the working of a system. Furthermore, you are aware that efficiently testing, deploying and packaging the deliverables is a prerequisite for moving fast.
What are the challenges?
We are solving interesting and complex technical problems! We are acquiring new systems as part of consolidating the market and all these systems have to be united into a future platform. Some continue as is, some need modernization, some need to have individual parts carved out, some have to be rebuilt from scratch using a better architecture and some have to have upgraded customers to a future better platform before sunsetting the old one. Despite all these different approaches almost all of them have to talk together either temporarily or permanently. Architecture plays an important part in this and it's a huge challenge, but we like a good challenge!
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support our teams with hands-on help
- Provide sparring to our teams regarding technical choices
- Build shared component/libraries
- Provide guidelines for teams for "the good solution"
- Evaluate 3rd party solutions
We imagine that you are already working in a similar role or are a senior developer with solid experience from software engineering and architecture. You have a growth mindset and are on a life-long learning path. You are curious about new technology and exploring how it can solve the needs of the business with greater speed or quality. Furthermore, you have worked with Microservices and DDD.
No matter your technical background, it is equally important that you have good communication and presentation skills as it is up to you to "sell" the guidance and or tools the architecture group provides to our product development teams.

The Mercell core values - Growth, Curiosity, Courage and Trust - serve as a foundation for the decisions we make, how we drive our business and how we interact with our colleagues, customers and others. But they also serve as the basis for the opportunities that Mercell provides for its employees to develop and thrive in their field of work.
